Stephen Bulla composer / arranger

Stephen Bulla is not only famous as a composer and arranger, but also as the conductor of one of America's most prominent brass bands, the National Capital Band of The Salvation Army. He received his degree in
arranging and composition from Boston's "Berklee College of Music" where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Today Stephen Bulla is the resident arranger of "The President's Own" U.S. Marine Band and White House Orchestra. In this capacity he regularly arranges and composes pieces for these formations. His musical arrangements for many performers, including Sarah Vaughan and The Manhattan Transfer, were featured on the PBS television series, "In Concert At The White House".

Additionally, Mr. Bulla is involved in studio production and has composed soundtracks to radio and television commercials and documentaries for NASA. In 1990 he was
awarded the prestigious ADDY award for best original music for a TV spot.

Bulla's concert band compositions are published exclusively by CURNOW MUSIC
PRESS. With a growing catalog of works, published and recorded in the U.S. and abroad, Mr. Bulla travels frequently as a guest conductor, adjudicator and clinician.
