Rubén Penadés Silvestre was born in Ontinyent (Valencia) in 1996. He began his musical studies at the "Jose Maria Ferrero Pastor" music school in Ontinyent, where he began his studies specialising in percussion.
He continued his studies at the Conservatori Professional de Música "Josep Melcior Gomis" in Ontinyent, and at the Conservatori Superior de Música "Òscar Esplà" in Alacant, where he chose the speciality of composition; where he graduated in 2018 in this speciality.
He has studied with professors Pep Soler, Francisco Molina, Joan Alborch, Marc Garcia and Manuel Mas.
He complements this training by attending various masterclasses, courses and conferences on percussion, conducting and composition with professors such as: Jaume Blai Santonja (percussion soloist of the Symphony Orchestra of Antwerp, Pawel Lukaszewski (professor of composition at the
l'Acadèmia Fryderyk Chopin de Varsòvia), Riccardo Riccardi (professor of composition at the Conservatori de Música Santa Cecilia in Rome), Horacio Vaggione (professor of composition at the University of Paris), and Miguel Romea (professor of conducting at the Facultat de Música UAX and principal conductor of the Orquestra Simfònica Verum) among others.
Activity as a composer
He began his composing career in 2012, composing several pieces for different ensembles. As a student of the CPM of Ontinyent, his work in the joint opera "Land" stands out. He has also composed some pieces for ensembles.
