It was perfected with Ruggero Gerlin in Siena from 1949 to 1951.
From 1948 to 1951, Raymond Meylan was a member of the Stadtorchester Winterthur under the direction of Hermann Scherchen and Victor Desarzens. He then became solo flute at the Associazione Alessandro Scarlatti in Naples (1951 to 1954), to the Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan (1954 to 1958), and finally, from 1958 to 1970, at the Radio-Orchester Beromünster in Zurich.
