PHILIP PARKER (b. 1953)
Philip Parker has composed numerous works for many professional and university ensembles throughout the United States. These include performances in conjunction with the National Flute Association, International Trumpet Guild, Percussive Arts Society and International Clarinet Society to name just a few. Mr. Parker is Associate Professor of Music at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR where he teaches composition, percussion and music theory. Winner of numerous awards, Mr. Parker has been the recipient of the Arkansas Arts Council Fellowship, Arkansas Tech University's "Excellence in Scholarly Activity Award" and National Flute Association's award for new music.
