Manuel Morales Martínez composer
Manuel Morales Martínez, born in Valencia, began his musical studies at the musical society "La Artística" in Chiva and continued his training at the conservatory "Joaquín Rodrigo" in Valencia. There he studied with D. Fco Salanova and D. Jesús Fuster on oboe. He also studied piano, counterpoint, fugue and orchestral conducting with professors such as D. Manuel Galduf, D. Rafael Talens or D. Fco Perales, who eventually earned the titles of outstanding oboe teacher and solfegio teacher, music theory, transport and suddenness.
He has taught orchestral conducting courses with D. Luis Sanjaime, D. Pablo Sánchez Torrella, D. Rafael Sanz Espert and D. Cristóbal Soler and won the first orchestra management prize "Maestro José Ferriz" in its fourth edition. Conductor of the orchestra "Perpetuum Móbile" of Ryazan (Russia).
He was chief conductor of the Rocafort Musical Band and the Sot de Ferrer Musical Association, as well as guest conductor of the Chiva "La Artística" Band, the Moncada Musical Artistic Centre and "La Amistad" de Quart de Poblet
He has composed works for mixed choir and several concert pieces that have been performed several times by bands from all over Spain. He received an honourable mention in the Paso Doble composition competition organised by Valéncia Mercantile Athenaeum in 2004.
He currently teaches as Professor of Music and Performing Arts at the Conservatories of the Generalitat Valenciana, a job that he continues with his compositions.
