*Glatz, Schlesien, 5. Dezember 1639, +Bautzen, 13. Oktober 1694. Pezel ist seit 1664 in Leipzig nachweisbar, wo er 1669/70 Stadtpfeifer wurde und seit 1672 das Collegium musicum leitete. 1681 wandte er sich als Stadtmusicus nach Bautzen. Pezel gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Clarinbläser seiner Zeit.
