Jeff Hest composer / arranger

A much sought after arranger/composer/producer in the New York City studio scene, Jeff is equally at home creating music for advertising (with hundreds of national commercials to his credit), jazz and pop recordings (over 40 albums), as well as providing musical direction and scoring for Broadway shows and films. He has recorded extensively with many great musicians and recording artists, including Urbie Green, Eddie Daniels, Derek Smith, Tony Mottola, Milt Hinton, Marvin Stamm, Phil Bodner and Dick Hyman to name a few. In recognition of his many achievements in the music industry, Jeff was recently honored by being granted a doctoral equivalency by the City University of New York, where he is an assistant professor of music focusing on the business of music and music technology.
