End Jack geb. in Rochester, New York, 31. Oktober 1918. Nach Abschluss seiner Studien an der Eastman School of Music wurde er in den Lehrkörper dieser Schule aufgenommen, trat aber 1950 in den Dienst des Fernsehstudios WROC in Rochester. 1960 wurde er Direktor der Rundfunk- und Fernsehstudios der University of Rochester.
