Fillmore James Henry (Pseud. Pseudonym des Komponisten Harold Bennett) geb. in Cincinnati, Ohio, 3. Dezember 1881, †Miami, 7. Dezember 1956. Sohn des gleich namigen Musikverlegers. Fillmore gründete 1915 sein eigenes Blasorchester, mit dem er 1927 bis 1934 regelmäßig Rundfunksendungen gestaltete und damit zu einem der populärsten und erfolgreichsten Blasorchester dirigenten der USA aufstieg. Seine Marschkompositionen werden an Bekanntheit allein von denen Sousas übertroffen. 1938 zog er sich in das Privatleben zurück, er schien jedoch noch vielfach als Gastdirigent.
