Hartmut Nold
studied Drumset at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern and Orchestral Percussion at the Musikhochschule Frankfurt a.M.


Later followed by masterclasses on the

Marimbaphone with Robert van Sice and Mike Mainieri as well as several years studies on the Jazz Vibraphone with Urs Wiesner in Basel.


Engagements at the Staatstheater Darmstadt, Alte Oper Frankfurt and at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe.


Today Hartmut Nold is a sought-after percussion teacher at the Musikschule im Breisgau and the Jazz & Rockschule Freiburg as well as a freelanced marimbist and vibist in the styles of Contemporary music, Modern Jazz, projekts with dance or theatre, Fusion and Improvised music.
