Gildas Harnois arranger

Gildas HARNOIS studied music at the Orléans Conservatory where he obtained first prizes in the classes of Musical Training, Flute, Organ, Analysis and Chamber Music, then those of Analysis and Flute at the C.N.R. of Boulogne-Billancourt. He continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and received the first prize in Analysis with honours in Alain LOUVIER's class, as well as the Diplôme de Formation Supérieure de Conducting at the CNSMDP in June 2005.

Gildas HARNOIS has conducted in concert the Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra, the Auvergne Chamber Orchestra and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. (Tonhalle, soloist: Patrick GALLOIS), the Düsseldorf Autumn Festival Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Laureates of the Lyon and Paris Conservatories, the Orchestre d'Harmonie de la Région Centre, the Ensemble Instrumental d'Anjou...

After numerous experiences in various orchestras as a flutist or in chamber music ensembles (flute or organ), he created the Orchestre du Chapitre in 1998 with professional musicians from the Orléans Conservatory. Thus, his action is not only in the diffusion of original music for chamber orchestra, and in particular that of the 20th century, but also in pedagogical interventions in schools or music schools in relation to the various instrument classes and musical training. He also conducts the "Val de Sax" Saxophone Ensemble, Exo Brass (Brass Band residing in Touraine awarded 1st Prize at the Amboise International Competition in June 2008 in the category of Excellence), thus tackling varied repertoires.

As far as teaching is concerned, Gildas HARNOIS obtained in 1996 the State Diploma of Flute Teacher as well as the Diploma of Musical Training, then in 2001 the Certificate of Aptitude of Teacher of Musical Training. He is currently professor of chamber music and in charge of orchestra classes at the CRR of Tours. Since 1995, he has been titular organist of the Sainte-Croix Cathedral in Orléans. He was notably laureate of the National Competition for Young Organists in Saint Germain des fossés in 2000.
