Ferrer Ferran wurde 1966 in Valencia in Spanien geboren. Im Alter von nur fünfzehn Jahren hatte er bereits Studien als Pianist und Schlagzeuger absolviert. Weiterhin erhielt er Diplome in den Fächern Kammermusik und Begleitung. Er erwarb einen Abschluss in Komposition und Direktion an der Royal Academy of Music in Großbitannien. Ferran ist bereits in ganz Spanien als Solist, zusammen mit Kammerensembles und als Begleitung großer internationaler Solisten aufgetreten. Er arbeitet mit einer Reihe spanischer Sinfonieorchester zusammen. Darüber hinaus ist er als Komponist, Pianist, Dirigent und Lehrer am Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Valencia tätig. Ferrans Schwerpunkte sind die Bereiche Komposition und Begleitung. Er verfasste bereits zahlreiche Kompositionen, darunter Werke für Ensemble, Chor, Kammerorchester und symphonisches Blasorchester - die Uraufführungen fanden meist mit berühmten Ensembles statt. Verschiedene Werke Ferrer Ferrans wurden als Pflichstücke für wichtige Wettbewerbe und FEstivals ausgewählt. Er bekam mehrere Auszeichnungen und Anerkennungen für seine Kompositionen, wie zum Beispiel einen von der Organisation Juventudes Musicales de Espana (Junge Musiker von Spanien) verliehenen Preis. Daneben gewann er auch einige Preise in Corciano (Italien). Ferrans Kompositionen wurden von Verlagen in Spanien, Frankreich und den Niederlanden herausgegeben. Seit 2002 werden seine Werke bei Ibermusica veröffentlicht.
