*Chester, Connecticut, USA, 13. April 1906, +Sarasota, Florida, USA, 1. September 1993. Nach Studien am Ithaca College sowie an der Ohio State University und an der University of Michigan schloss er sich 1926 bis 1928 als Posaunist und Baritonist der Conway Band an. Danach leitete er das Blasorchester der Endicott, New York, High School. Er schrieb zahlreiche Blasorchester-Bearbeitungen sowie eine Instrumentationslehre für Blasorchester.
