Davide Pedrazzini composer / arranger
Davide Antonio Pedrazzini, born in Lodi (Italy) in 1981, began his music studies at 11 years of age, initially studying saxophone and later clarinet. After completing high school, he began to study composition with Giorgio Tedde and graduated in Band Arranging at the Conservatorio A. Boito in Parma and in Composition at the Conservatorio G. Nicolini in Piacenza. He obtained a national certification in music video writing with Finale 25 and 26.
He attended numerous courses of orchestral conducting of orchestra with José Rafael Pascual Vilaplana and Lorenzo Della Fonte and is currently studying with Angelo Bolciaghi.
In 2016, he won First Prize at the National Competition of Original Transcription and Composition for Band and Choir with "Euterpe" of Catona (Reggio Calabria - Italy). He won in 2014 with the composition Suite Francescana ?and the 3rd prize at the 2nd National Composition Competition for Band in Mugnano (Perugia - Italy).
In April 2012 he won the 1st category A prize with the compositions Three simple moments and Short celebration at the 4th International Original Composition Competition for young Band Città di Sinnai (Cagliari - Italy). In July 2007 he won the 3rd prize with with Little Suite for Young Band (publication category B, first not awarded), 7th National Original Composition Competition for Band Pellegrino Caso in Vietri sul Mare (Salerno - Italy): composition chosen as an obligatory piece in the youth category of the XV International Band Competition Flicorno D'Oro 2013.
In October 2005 his chamber composition Canto per la terra, performed at the Goethe-Institut in Rome and the Bio-architecture week in Modena, was the winner of 2nd prize at the Composition Competition Arturo Toscanini organized by the Foundation of the same name at the Conservatory of Piacenza. He also won 1st prize at the 2003 National Composition Competition Music and fairy tale - Città di Sarzana (Italy); the winning work, The magic drummer, was engraved, published (Ed. allemanda) and later requested by the Conservatory of Monopoly that edited its execution within a musical review in 2004. He edited the orchestral review and the piano reduction of the Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra by Ernesto Cavallini, published by Edizioni Eufonia and recorded in absolute premiere by the clarinetist Wenzel Fuchs with the Chamber Orchestra A. Vivaldi from Valle Camonica (Brescia - Italy)
As a composer and arranger he is mainly active in the band field collaborating with European and American publishing houses, including Baton Music (NL), AM Music (NL), Leading Tones Music (USA) and the Edizioni Musicali Eufonia (IT) with which he has published numerous works between original compositions, arrangements and transcriptions.
His compositions are included as compulsory pieces in band performance competitions, including the prestigious International Competition Flicorno d'Oro in Riva del Garda (Trento - Italy).
He is also involved in the education of children, both of school age and preschool, regularly holding musical workshops in various Childhood and Primary Schools. He teaches music education in the first grade secondary school. From 2012 to 2018 he conducting the Wind Orchestra Il Trillo in Crema (Cremona - Italy). He collaborates with the Filarmonica Castiglionese (Lodi - Italy) as head of the music school and director of the Junior Band.
