Daniele Carnevali composer / arranger
Born in 1957, obtained degrees in trumpet and composition for band at the Conservatory of Parma and in choir director at the Conservatory of Bologna.
He was a trumpet player in various orchestras such as "A. Toscanini" from Emilia Romagna and the R.A.I. teaching at the Parma and Modena Conservatories.
At present he is composing original pieces for wind band for wich he has won numerous national awards.
Besides collaborating with such publishers as Scomegna (Turin), Eridania (Mantova) and Molenaar (Holland) he directs the "Grande Banda Rappresentativa della Federazione delle bande del Trentino" and the Conservatory wind-band in Trento (the first ever in Italy, which he founded), where he has held the chair in composition for wind-band since 1987.
He was also artistic director for the first four editions of the International Band Competition "Flicorno dOro" from Riva del Garda and is frequently invited to hold seminars both nationally and internationally in wind band competitions and guest director in some of the best italian wind-bands around today.
