Chris Kamerling composer

Chris Kamerling is currently the Junior High Band Director for Pottsville School District in Pottsville,
Arkansas, and the minister of music at First Baptist Church of Pottsville. He studied composition with
Philip Parker at Arkansas Tech University as an undergraduate. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree
in MusicEducation in May of 1998. He then taught 2 years in the South Conway County School System,
and then moved to his present position at Pottsville, where he has been teaching for the past 16 years.
He is the father of 3 children:Chasity; Carter; and Jenna. He is married to Lori Ann Fisher Kamerling,
his wife of 19 years. His compositions range from small to large ensembles, but his main focus is on
the concert band. He and his family reside in Pottsville, Arkansas.
