Catherine de Preissac arranger
Catherine de Preissac, harpist, studied the harp with Pierre Jammet at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she obtained a first prize in 1963.
In 1965, she was appointed harpist - soloist at the P.A.C.T. Orchestra and professor at the University of South Africa.
On her return to France, she joined the Pays de Loire Philharmonic Orchestra and also taught at the Conservatoire National de Région de Nantes.
In 1980, Catherine de Preissac was appointed solo harpist with the Orchestre Symphonique de Tours and the Orchestre du Grand Théâtre, and teacher at the Conservatoire National de région de Tours.
In parallel to her teaching and orchestral activities, she pursues a career as a soloist.
From Johannesburg to Paris, via Jerusalem, Huston, London, Bonn, Budapest and even aboard the Mermoz, Catherine de Preissac has won over the international critics.
