Carol Brittin Chambers
Carol Brittin Chambers composer / arranger
Carol Brittin Chambers (*1970) is an American composer, arranger, musician and music educator. She holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Texas Tech University and a master's degree in trumpet performance from Northwestern University. Her teachers have included Vincent Cichowicz and John Paynter.
Chambers is a founder and composer at Aspenwood Music and is commissioned annually to compose and arrange works for wind band, marching band, orchestra and other ensembles - including the Crossmen Drum Corps. Her works have won numerous awards and have been performed internationally, e.g. at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago.
She is a professor at Texas Lutheran University, where she teaches trumpet, music education and composition and is a composer in residence. She is also an active musician (with the San Antonio and Mid-Texas Symphonies, among others), a sought-after conductor and a member of the Conn Selmer Educational Team.
Prior to college, she taught band classes and private lessons for many years in the North East Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas.
