Carl Strommen's contribution to concert band, jazz band and vocal literature places him among the most performed composer in the United States. A graduate of the City College of the University of New York, Mr. Strommen studied composition with Stephan Wolpe and arranging with Rayburn Wright and Manny Album. He was Director of Bands at Mamaroneck High School, Mamaroneck, NY, and teaches orchestration and arranging at the C.W. POst Campus of Long Island University. A consistent ASCAP award winner, Mr. Strommen continues to maintain an active commision, clinic and writing schedule. Many of his band, choral and piano publications are published by Alfred.
