Bram Wiggins (1921-2014)
Bram Wiggins was a Walter Stokes Orchestral Scholar at the Royal Academy of Music where his main study was the trumpet under the late George Eskdale, who subsequently invited him to join the London Symphony Orchestra as assistant first trumpet and principal cornet.
After eleven years with the LSO, Bram Wiggins joined the CBC (Winnipeg) Orchestra and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Canada, where he also worked as band director, conductor, trumpet soloist and adjudicator. On returning to the UK, he played with all the major orchestras, and also examined regularly at the Royal Academy, Trinity College and Birmingham Conservatory.
