Barberi Paull composer

Barberi Paull Feit has been graced with an interesting professional life. She is a psychotherapist with an international client base. She received her training at New York University.

Barberi began her professional life in music. She was a piano prodigy as the age of 5. She is a composer with many concert works to her credit, including concrete\electronic compositions and music for film, and for dance. She writes her own lyrics. Barberi studied Composition at The Juilliard School of Music, with Pulitzer Prize winning composers Charles Wuorinen and Jacob Druckman. She was a fellow at Tanglewood in Choral Conducting and Composition, an assistant to Leonard Bernstein.

With The Barberi Paull Musical Theater, Inc. Barberi directed a respected company of artists that produced theater pieces and mixed media events across the United States.

Through the Meet-The-Composer programs she has taken part in concerts of her music in live performances, on radio and television, both here and abroad. She has enjoyed retrospective concerts of her music and has been interviewed on radio, television and in the press. Her commissions, honors and awards include a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship.

In addition to having had her works published, Barberi has licensed for use many songs for young people. She has a licensing relationship with Silver Burdett and Ginn, the distinguished publisher of music programs for children in the schools. She created a musical character for Silver called Miranda the Ant introduced through songs and a package, which included a book, a costume, and choreography for a dance.

Barberi's song, America I Hear You Singing, became distinctly popular after the September 11th terrorist attacks on America and is used by children for fundraising and support of the military, as well as in government programs advancing American values.

Barberi's music, original scores and related memorabilia are part of The Barberi Paull Collection in the American Heritage Archive, an archive dedicated to preserving the work of significant American composers.

Barberi has worked as a free lance photographers' model for most of her life, having been associated with both the Wagner Agency and with Ford Models. As a speaker her voice was heard narrating the American Cancer Society's Smoke-Free 2000 motivational series designed to educate children. The program won an Emmy.

As an author Barberi has contributed articles to magazines and newspapers. During the nineties she published a free print newsletter called "The Love Letter," which has evolved into a free online eNewsletter, www.theloveletter.net.

Barberi conceived of The Angel Auberon series writing the books and music. The stories of this series are set in the context of angelic legend. The series was begun with publication of the book entitled The Angel Chronicles: The Guardian Angels Books I-V by The Angel Auberon. It is the story of the beginning of human life and of how the assembly of guardian angels was formed to care for all living beings. Her latest book is the novel, Love and Dreams. Set in New York society during a period that spans the last century, the saga of life, love, friendship and dreams is woven into New York's richly textured history and the rituals established by New York's first settlers: the WASP gentry and the German-Jewish aristocracy.
