The 2nd position (low 2nd finger) is being introduced and combined with the first position. Various stroke techniques like martelé, staccato, spiccato plus simple changes of position to the harmonics in octaves enlarge the playing technique.

Deepens and improves the playing technique of the first position. Chords, arpeggios, various time signatures and rhythms, pizzicato, vibrato, simple changes of position to harmonics in oktave e.a. are being introduced.

The further variants of the 1st position (3rd finger high, 1st finger low and 4th finger low) are being introduced and combined to scales. The children get to know major and minor modes up to 3# and 3b) and their characteristics.
