Range demands are minimal. Many extra parts allow optional F Horn or trombone 1, alto trombone 2, alto trombone 3 with TC and BC parts

Dirge and Slow Dance Percy Hall

Two Class "C" movements in F minor and B-flat major. Highest note is E-flat above the staff. Optional parts provided for F Horn, on first part and TC and BC parts for one, two and three. Mostly in legato style, a 2/4 section gives a light marcato contrast.

I. Vintage Waltz, II. Two-Step March; (3 Euphoniums, 1 Tuba.) Optional F horn for the first part and TC euphonium parts for the first three provide a host of instrumentations. A class "C" work, all of the instruments stay very nearly within one octave in the key of B-flat major. Two styles of music in 3/4 and 4/4 make this a great peice for young contest.
