Festival Sounds Thomas Asanger

Festival Sounds was commissioned by the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Police Orchestra (Germany) in 2017 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of its existence and premiered on 4 May 2018 under the direction of chief conductor Christof Koert. The history of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as a political entity begins in 1945 with the unification of the state of Mecklenburg with the remaining part of Western Pomerania near Germany. Both countries have their own anthems, the "Mecklenburger Land" and the "Pommern Lied". The Austrian composer Thomas Asanger used both hymns as a basis in this composition and formed them into a wonderful opening piece.

Festival Sounds a été commandé par le Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Police Orchestra (Allemagne) en 2017 à l'occasion du 70e anniversaire de son existence et a été créé le 4 mai 2018 sous la direction du chef d'orchestre Christof Koert. L'histoire du Mecklembourg-Poméranie occidentale en tant qu'entité politique commence en 1945 avec l'unification du Mecklembourg et de la partie restante de la Poméranie occidentale proche de l'Allemagne. Les deux pays ont chacun leur propre hymne, le "Mecklenburger Land" et le "Pommern Lied". Le compositeur autrichien Thomas Asanger a utilisé ces deux hymnes comme base de cette composition et en a fait une merveilleuse pièce d'ouverture.

Festival Sounds werd in 2017 in opdracht van het Politieorkest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Duitsland) opgericht ter gelegenheid van de 70ste verjaardag en ging op 4 mei 2018 in première onder leiding van chef-dirigent Christof Koert. De geschiedenis van Mecklenburg-Vorpommern als politieke entiteit begint in 1945 met de hereniging van de deelstaat Mecklenburg met het resterende deel van West-Pommeren nabij Duitsland. Beide deelstaten hebben hun eigen volksliederen, het "Mecklenburger Land" en het "Pommern Lied". De Oostenrijkse componist Thomas Asanger gebruikte beide liederen als basis voor deze compositie en maakte er een prachtige openingsfanfare van.
