[EB]Dedicated to Col. Jack Grogan and The United States Army Field Band, this is a major work for wind ensemble or concert band. The familiar folk melody is also used as the setting for the poem Army Blue by W.W. Fosdick for the cadets at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. This is great music in the tradition of this composer's Divertimento for Band and Symphony on Themes of John Philip Sousa.
