Ludwig Symphonic Band Series No. 332
Sanctus by Giuseppe Verdi is the fourth movement of the Requiem Mass, first performed in 1874 to commemorate the death of Allesandro Manzoni. Sanctus of Dunnigan was transcribed for the Western Michigan University Symphonic Band and conductor Richard Suddendorf. The transcription premiered at the Miller Auditorium, Kalamazoo, Michigan, in February 1991. This intoxicating piece will make an impressive contribution to any program or serve as an exciting encore selection.
