Eric Swiggers (Deurne, 1968) is currently conductor of the symphonic band 'Harmonie St Caecilia' of Lieshout and the fanfare band 'De Notenkrakers' (The Nutcrackers) of Vorstenbosch. He has composed quite some interesting pieces for wind band in the lighter vein. This sparkling overture was commissioned by the 'St Caecilia' band that Swiggers is conducting, for its 125th anniversary.

Eric Swiggers (Deurne, 1968) dirige actuellement l'Harmonie Sainte Cécile à Lieshout et la Fanfare « De Notenkrakers » (Les casse-noisettes) à Vorstenbosch ; il a publié plusieurs compositions légères pour orchestres à vents. Cette pétillante ouverture a été composée à l'occasion du 125ème anniversaire de l'Harmonie Sainte Cécile de Lieshout. Voici une façon solennelle et joyeuse pour débuter un concert.
