"Oboe Concerto" for oboe-band, was commissioned by the prestigious oboist Daniel Ibáñez Martínez, to whom the composer dedicated it because of his admiration for this great instrumentalist.

The work was composed in 2016 and exists in a version for oboe-piano and oboe-orchestra.

The form of this concerto is a single movement, divided into different clearly identifiable sections. Its language moves in the vast majority of the course of the work within a tonal language with much colour and richness in its orchestration.

"Oboe Concerto" is a work charged with emotion and rhythm. For the most part, this concerto exploits a wide range of technical possibilities that the oboe possesses, making full use of its entire register. Virtuosity is present throughout much of the work, contrasting with a section in which the melodies blend into the atmosphere with a sentimental and passionate touch.

It is a work destined for an audience ready to receive a series of sensations that only good music can give us.
