Established in 1976, Per-Mus offers quality percussion music at affordable prices. Per-Mus has rapidly become a leading source for percussion solos, ensembles, and collections. Dealers worldwide are now carrying these publications.
The Per-Mus catalog contains over 340 items representing the works of over 50 arrangers and composers. Many of these works have been selected for contest listings as well as being performed on recitals, used in instructional programs or played for enjoyment of percussion enthusiasts. Per-Mus welcomes direct sales to institutions and individuals.
Per-Mus was founded by Dr. James L. Moore, an experienced percussion educator and long time faculty member of The Ohio State University School of Music, Dr. Moore was the founding editor of The Percussive Arts Society (PAS) Percussive Notes Magazine.
After Dr. Moores passing in 2014 Per-Mus was taken over by Dr. Cary Dachtyl, a colleague and former student of Dr. Moore. Dr. Dachtyl is a full time musician, educator and faculty member at Kenyon College and also owns Pterodactyl Productions recording studio in Columbus Ohio.
