Smith Peter Bernard
*West Ealing, London, 1. September 1933. Als Militär- und Theatermusiker begann er 1962 die Militärkapellmeisterausbildung in Kneller Hall und wurde 1968 Kapellmeister der Queens Royal Irish Husars. 1974 trat er aus der Armee aus und ließ sich in Detmold in Deutschland nieder. Zunächst in Bad Sassendorf, seit 1980 in Paderborn, seit 1984 in Gütersloh wirkte er als Lehrer, Chor- und Orchesterleiter. In seiner Autobiographie, den "Erinnerungen eines englischen Militärmusikers", beschreibt er sein Leben.
