José L. Represas Carrera arranger

José Luis Represas Carrera (Xinzo (Ponteareas), 1970 ) is a Spanish composer , conductor and saxophonist .
Represas Carrera was already a saxophonist in his early years as a member of the Banda de Música "Xuvenil" de Xinzo , under the direction of José Guillén Lorenzo. He studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Vigo . There he studied saxophone. He then studied composition at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de A Coruña . He completed his studies at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg . His teachers included Pedro Pirfano Zambrano , Enrique García Asensio , Teodoro Aparicio Barberán ( HaFa and conducting ), Daniel Defayet ,Pedro Iturralde and Jean Pennings ( saxophone ).

He then became a teacher for saxophone at the urban music school in A Coruña .

In 1990 he joined the Banda Municipal de A Coruña as a solo saxophonist.

In 1986 he became conductor of the Banda de Música de O Rosal and founded a chamber music group named after the composer Reveriano Soutullo . From 1991 to 1995 he was conductor of the Banda de Música Asociación Cultural Unión Musical Ponteledesma , further of the Banda de Música Popular de Muimenta de Lalín , the Banda de Música de Santa Cruz de Ribadulla , the Banda de Música Cultural de Salceda de Caselas , the Banda de Música Municipal de Silleda from 2004 to 2006 and nowadays also of the Agrupación Instrumental "Harmonia" deBoqueixón (A Coruña) and the Banda de Música Unión Cultural Campo Lameiro . In 2005, with the Banda de Música Municipal de Silleda , he won a 1st prize with honors in the "Especial" section during the
