*Paintersville, Ohio, 21. Februar 1891, +Fort Dodge, Indiana, 31. März 1971. Er gehörte zahlreichen zivilen und Zirkus-Blasorchestern an, wurde Kapellmeister bei Sells Floto Buffalo Bill (1914 bis 1916) und bei Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth (1917/18). 1920 übernahm er die Leitung der Fort Dodge Military Band, die er achtunddreißig Jahre hindurch innehatte. Die American Bandmasters Association wählte ihn 1939 zu ihrem Präsidenten.
