Theldon Myers is recently retired Professor of Composition and Theory at Towson State University in Maryland USA. Born in 1927 in Illinois, he earned degrees from Northern Illinois University, California State University at Fresno and the Peabody Conservatory of Music. His composition studies were with Wayne Bohrnstedt at the University of Redlands (California), Arthur Bryon at Fresno, Nadia Boulanger at the Conservatoire Americain (France) and Sandor Veress and Stefans Grove at the Peabody Conservatory. He has a variety of professional musical interests and activities which include woodwind performance, music education and conducting as well as composing and arranging for solo, chamber groups, chorus, band and orchestra. Many of his works have been published and have been performed throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
