Am Konservatorium in Antwerpen studierte er Klarinette und Musiktheorie, u. a. bei Karel de Schrijver. Als Arrangeur schrieb er für zahlreiche Unterhaltungsmusik-Ensembles, u. a. für das Hazy Osterwald-Sextett. Seit 1985 wandte er sich zudem der Blasmusik zu.
