Loras John Schissel composer / arranger
Loras Schissel is the founder and conductor of the Virginia Grand Military Band and is active as a band conductor and clinician. Long an avid Sousa scholar, he also serves, along with his colleague Keith Brion, as an advisor to John Philip Sousa Inc. He ia a native of New Hampton, Iowa, having pursued studies at the University of Northern Iowa.
