*Falkenau, Egerland, 28. Juli 1929. Er besuchte die Musikschule in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. 1948 kam er nach München, wo er in amerikanischen Clubs musizierte. Seit 1949 war Pleyer als Arrangeur und Komponist für den Rundfunk sowie für Ernst Mosch tätig.
