Frank De Vuyst

Frank De Vuyst was born in Zele, Belgium.
Starting his musical education at the music school of Lokeren, he continues his musical studies at the Royal Conservatorium of Gent (Belgium), Maastricht and Tilburg (the Netherlands), graduating in Music Theory, Pedagogy, Saxophone and Professional Band Conducting. He studied Orchestral Conducting in Viena (Austria), with Richard Edlinger.
As a guest conductor Frank De Vuyst has worked in Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, USA, Argentina, Columbia and South Korea.
In Spain, Frank De Vuyst has been principal conductor of Ateneo Musical of Cullera, Unión Musical of Ondara, and Unión Musical Utielana of Utiel.
Actually, Frank De Vuyst is the principal conductor of the Symphonic Wind Orchestra «La Armónica» of Buñol, and of the Agrupació Artística of Denia, both in Valencia, Spain. He is also collaborating with the Red de Escuelas de Música (Network of Music Schools) in Medellin, Columbia, as the artistic director of their Wind Ensemble.
Frank also works at the Spanish music publisher Piles where he is responsible for new band publications as well as international public relations, since 2001.
Having won the International contest Certamen Internacional Vila dAltea (Alicante, Spain) three times, Frank now holds the prestigious «Batuta de Oro» (golden baton) award.
