He graduated in trumpet in 1982 from the Conservatorio 'Giuseppe Verdi' in Turin under the guidance of Maestro Renato Cadoppi, and perfected his skills at the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento in Saluzzo under the teaching of illustrious masters such as Pierre Thibaud, Bernard Soustrot, Sandro Verzari, and at Saint Mary's College in the United States with Jeff Silberschlag. He has also attended masterclasses in Italy, Switzerland, France and the United States, held by Philip Smith, Dennis Ferry and Anthony Plog.
Since 1995 he has been a permanent member of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, with which he has taken part in numerous tours and audio and video recordings, playing under world-famous conductors such as Carlo Maria Giulini, Zubin Metha, Eliahu Inbal, Riccardo Muti, Giuseppe Sinopoli and Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.
He has participated as a soloist and with chamber groups in various international festivals in Prague, Rome, New York, Turin, London and Washington.
He carries out an intense concert activity as a soloist and as a member of chamber groups. He is the founder and conductor of the CanavèisanBrass brass and percussion group.
The group recorded the world premiere of a CD of original music by Kjell Mork Karlsen for Brass and Organ.
He has taught at the conservatories of Aosta, Turin and Cuneo, at the Saluzzo School of Perfection and in numerous masterclasses.
He collaborates with the Fossano Musica Foundation at which he holds the annual masteclass 'Italian Trumpet Seminar'.
