Ellington, Edward Kennedy

Edward Kennedy was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and he immigrated to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in 1986. Edward holds a Bachelor of Teaching Degree in Music from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and a Master’s degree in conducting from Salford University, Manchester U.K. He also holds Licentiate and Fellowship Diplomas from Trinity College of Music London. Edward has been a successful music educator in many schools and colleges in the UK and Australia, and he is currently employed as a multi- instrumental music educator and band director in Brisbane with the Queensland Education Department. Edward is an active composer and arranger of brass and wind band music, conductor, performer, clinician and adjudicator.
