Brendan McBrien
Brendan McBrien composer / arranger
With Bachelor and Masters degrees in music composition and conducting from California State University, Long Beach, Mr. McBriens works for band and orchestra are published by many top publishers. He is an active adjudicator, clinician and honor group conductor, and has served two terms as Vice President of Membership for the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association. He is also a freelance musician, composer, arranger, and contributing writer to The Instrumentalist magazine. His professional playing experiences have included symphony orchestras, opera, musical theater, movie and television work. Mr. McBrien began teaching in the Irvine (CA) Unified School District in 1988 where he has taught elementary, middle school and high school bands and orchestras. He is currently serving there as Director of Instrumental Music at Rancho San Joaquin Middle School.
