Gorb Adam geb. in Cardiff, 12. März 1958. Er absolvierte als Schüler von Hugh Wood und Robin Holloway die Universität in Cambridge, privat unterrichtete ihn Paul Patterson. Zum Master of Music graduierte er 1993 an der Royal Academy of Music. Seither lebt er als freischaffender Komponist in England.
