The Japanese composer Kamioka Youichi is a newcomer in our European band world. His composition 'In Autumn Skies' is a traditional march, however characterised by quite original ornaments, especially in the woodwind register. The march was commissioned by the Japan Bandmasters Association and was first performed in Europe during the 8th International WASBE conference at Schladming, Austria, under the direction of Toshio Akiyama.

Le compositeur japonais Kamioka Youichi est un nouveau nom dans le monde occidental des orchestres à vent. Sa composition 'In autumn skies' (Sous un ciel d'automne) est une marche assez traditionnelle qui se caractérise par des ornements très originaux dans les bois. La marche a été commandée par la Japan Bandmaster Association et elle a été créée en Europe lors de la 8° Conférence internationale de la WASBE à Schladming sous la direction de Toshio Akiyama en juillet 1997.

De mars is in opdracht van de Japan Bandmaster Association geschreven en werd voor het eerst in Europa opgevoerd tijdens de 8ste WASBE conferentie in Schladming o.l.v. Toshio Akiyama.
