In his series of faithful, respectful editions of Mozart's works for winds, Serenade No. 10 in B Flat, Gran Partita, is truly a key gem in a crown of gems. Scored for oboes, clarinets, basset horns, french horns, bassoons, contra bassoon, and contrabass clarinet, it is, obviously, meant for select wind ensembles. But, for advanced groups, this is a most memorable and significant work. An excellent recording is available through Ludwig Music on Kosei KOCD 31992712.
