Szpilman's famous concert work "Concertino" for piano and orchestra rounds off the edition of concert works and selected songs by the Polish composer. Completed in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1940, the work is characterized by an unexpectedly cheerful, almost swinging mood. It is slightly reminiscent of Gershwin and the great gestures of the film scores at that time, yet it is a "real Szpilman" in its superior instrumentation and reliable sense of style concerning the prevailing taste. In addition to the score, a piano score will be published for study purposes, with a preface by Krystian Zimerman.

L'édition du " Concertino " pour piano et orchestre, l'oeuvre la plus célèbre de Szpilman, parachève la publication des oeuvres de concert et de songs du compositeur polonais. Cette oeuvre, terminée dans le ghetto de Varsovie en 1940, séduit par son esprit léger inattendu, presque swing, qui rappelle un peu Gershwin et les grands élans des musiques de film de ce temps. Il reste cependant, grâce à sa remarquable instrumentation et sa sûreté stylistique dans le goût de l'époque, un " vrai " Szpilman. En complément de la partition et afin de faciliter l'étude paraît une réduction pour deux pianos, avec une préface de Krystian Zymerman
