This Christmas carol was first published in the end of the 1880's. It is one of the most popular in the English-speaking countries, especially in Britain.
Away in a Manger is recorded and performed by a numerous different artists, choirs, orchestras and in many kinds of styles.

This arrangement consist of three verses. The first are played by the clarinets, the second are for the brass, while the third one is scored for the whole band.

[NO]Denne julesangen ble kjent fra slutten av 1800-tallet. Den er en av de mest kjente og populære julesangene, særlig i engelsktalende land. I Norge er sangen også kjent under tittelen «Langt vekk i ei krybba».
Away in a Manger er spilt inn og fremført av nær sagt alle typer artister, kor, orkestre og i en rekke stilarter.

I dette arrangementet er det tre vers, det første spilles av klarinetter, messingseksjonen spiller det andre, og hele korpset er med i det mektige sisteverset.
