Jubilant Music

Jubilant Music Thomas Asanger

Jubilant Music was commissioned by the community band of Offenhausen (Upper-Austria) in honor of their 160th anniversary. It was premiered on September 22, 2012. The festive character of the piece depicts the jubilant mood during the anniversary year of the band. The piece starts with a majestic fanfare for the brass section and continues with a lyrical arioso, which is presented by the woodwinds. The composition has a classical A-B-A form and ends with a reprise of the majestic fanfare.
