This composition is a response to the Trío Arbós enticing commission to include me in a series of works for piano trio by various composers that pay tribute to and enter into dialogue with the flamenco. For the title of my piece I have chosen a verse by the great poet Miguel Hernández, which has wonderfully captured the depth of the Spanish soul in which the flamenco resonates so strongly. Cette composition répond à la commande enthousiasmante du Trío Arbós de m'insérer dans une guirlande d'oeuvres pour trio avec piano de plusieurs compositeurs rendant hommage et dialoguant avec le flamenco. J'ai donné comme titre à ma pièce un vers du grand poète Miguel Hernández qui a merveilleusement saisi la profondeur de l'âme espagnole dans laquelle le flamenco résonne si fort. (Thierry Pécou)
