The march is based on the motto Commitment to Victory. The main theme is loosely built around a Norwegian dance; halling from Senja. It has a kvænsk origin (Finnish-Hungarian spark), but the source is probably even more far east.
In the march, the halling is affected by other melodies which play counter-voices, but despite the attempt to force the melody in another direction, it triumphs victorious. The music is the North Brigade's Will to Win.

[NO]Selve marsjen bygger på mottoet «Vilje til seier». Hovedtemaet er løselig bygget på en Halling fra Senja i midt-Troms.
Hallingen (polkaen) har en kvænsk opprinnelse, og opphavet er nok fra lenger øst. Dette spiller godt inn på det multikulturelle i Troms. I marsjen blir temaet(hallingen/polkaen) påvirket av forskjellige andre temaer, og spiller på lag med de, eller blir en motstemme til disse.
Trass i alle disse påvirkningene og forsøk på å dreie temaet i en bestemt retning, kommer det triumferende og seirende ut.
Slik at den, hallingen eller Brigade nord om du vil i overført betydning, har evnen og vilje til å tilpasse seg nye situasjoner.
Men den vil ikke underlegge seg helt, og går (con bravura) seirende ut til slutt.
