Test - 20 studies

The TEST collection presented here is aimed at providing students as well as teachers with material which enables them to test their respective level of performance and skill. The studies are well-suited for sight-reading exercises at entrance examinations or similar opportunities. They cover the most important instrumental ranges of percussion offering 4 studies for snare drum, 4 for timpani, 2 for set up, 2 for drum set and 2 each for glockenspiel, xylophone, vibraphone and marimba. Metronome indications are merely a means of orientation. The player is free to choose his vibraphone pedaling technique in order to develop his own style and sound by experimenting. Additionally, the studies can be used to compile mini suites in order to demonstrate and present the various groups of instruments.

Le présent recueil TEST a pour but d'offrir du matériel aux étudiants comme aux pédagogues afin qu'ils puissent vérifier et contrôler leur niveau de performance personnel. Les études peuvent aussi très bien servir comme feuilles d'exercices lors de concours ou d'examens. Ils couvrent les secteurs instrumentaux les plus importants avec 4 études pour caisse claire, 4 pour timbales, 2 pour set-up, 2 pour drumset et respectivement 2 pour glockenspiel, xylophone, vibraphone et marimba. De plus, on peut former des mini-suites à partir des études pour des concerts de démonstration ou pour la présentation d'instruments. Les indications de métronome servent à donner une orientation. Le choix des baguettes et l'emploi de la pédale au vibraphone restent libres.
