Bulgarian folk music, which has been covered over, supplemented and broadened with foreign influences, is rich with irregular rhythmic and metric parameters. The frequently changing meters, necessitated by an unusual combining and stretching of individual time signatures, are also the basis for this work. Siegfried Fink wrote Salut de Serdika? as obligatory piece for the competition Siegfried Fink, Sofia 97. Instruments needed for a performance are: templeblock, bongos, cowbell, snare drum and bass drum.

Salut de Serdika - variations sur des rythmes bulgares

La musique bulgare, qui a été continuellement soumise au cours des siècles à des influences étrangères qui l'ont enrichie et lui ont ouvert de nouveaux horizons, est riche en paramètres rythmiques et métriques irréguliers. Les séries de mesures au changement fréquent et caractérisées par un insolite enchaînement et une dilatation de certains temps sont aussi à la base de l'?uvre présente. Siegfried Fink a écrit Salut de Serdika pour le concours Siegfried Fink à Sofia en 1997. Les instruments suivant sont requis: templeblock, bongos, cowbell, grosse caisse et caisse claire.
